Registration and Class Policies

Registration for classes at Cela Creations-A Bead Boutique can be made in person or by telephone at 708.215.5177. Class registration will be a confirmed reservation with payment of cash, check or credit card at the time of registration. Classes begin promptly on their designated time.

If materials are needed, be sure you make all purchases before class begins. It is best to arrive at least 1/2 hour before class is scheduled to begin to finish your purchases. (This policy is so we do not delay the start of each class).

Cancellations will only be accepted for an exchange of classes - 48 hours prior to class. Less than 48 hours before class your reservation will be forfeited. If Cela Creations needs to cancel a class less than 48 hours before class a full refund will be credited to your credit card. Class space is limited to 6 students.

Beading 101

$30.00 per class

Each student provides their materials for this class. You will design and finish a necklace or bracelet with the basics of this class. There will be time enough to perfect your finishing skills (i.e.) attach a clasp and learn crimping in two styles. Learn the basics of why you use different threading materials and wires. Take home a stunning and unique piece created by YOU!

Receive a 10% discount on materials for this class. Please come ½ hour prior to class to purchase your materials if necessary. Class begins promptly at the designated time.

Basic Wire Wrapping

$40.00 for class & materials

You will make 3 pairs of earrings and learn basic wire wrapping using head pins, eye pins and ear wires. A simple loop (rosary) and a wire wrap loop will be taught. These skills will take your jewelry designing to a new level. This class is fun and easy!

Materials "included" with this class fee:

• Sterling Silver head pins
• 3 pairs of ear wires
• Beads and Findings to create 3 beautiful pairs of earrings

Knotting 101

$40.00 for class & materials

Materials Included:

1. Griffin silk thread
2. White Pearls
3. Toggle Clasp

Pendant not included.

Learn Pearl knotting on silk tread and design your own "Tin Cup" style necklace. Other possibilities are to add a pendant to your Tin Cup necklace. You will learn how to attach a pendant. (Pendant not included)

Designer Wrap Bracelet

Intermediate Level (Beading experience)
$40.00 per class fee

Materials needed to bring or purchase for this class:

• Leather Lacing 1mm-2 mm, 40 inches long
• 1-2 strands czech beads 4-5mm size approxiamately 40-50 beads
• Griffen Silk Thread #4 or #5
• A 1 or 2 hole, 10-12mm Button or a large hole bead.

Wire Crochet Cuff

$45.00 - includes materials
You must know how to crochet for this class.

Materials included with class fee are:

• 1 - .65 Gram bag of Czech Glass Bead Soup.
• 1 - Spool of 26 gauge Artistic Wire
• 1 - Small finishing clasp

A cuff style be-jeweled bracelet. You will learn to crochet with wire a gemstone cuff bracelet and attach a clasp to this beauty.

Tools needed for this class:

1- Size 2 or 5 Crochet Hook-Preferably a Susan Bates brand. It has a better hook for this type of work.

Cela Creations does not sell crochet hooks. Please purchase this tool before attending this class.

Family Tree Pendant

This is an Intermediate Class Level.
Wire wrapping skills needed.

$30.00 per Class
Materials not included

Materials Needed to bring/purchase for this class:

• Beads of your choice. Top drilled 4-6 mm briolette beads work especially well and so do round beads.
• Component or frame for tree.
• Chain or any type of necklace to attach to your new pendant. If you like.
• 26 gauge spool of wire color of your choice

*Pendent is taught in the class although you will have time to attach to a necklace of your choice.

Learn to make this unique pendant and beautiful technique that will have you designing all your friends and families Tree. A gift they will never forget! This could be a bit of history on your neck from crystal birthstone colors to just your favorite color tree!

Bauble Bracelet Class

Beading experience is needed for this class
Class fee: $40.00 - Materials not included

Tools Needed to bring to class:

1. Jewelry –Crimp Pliers
2. Jewelry- Cutter or sharp scissors
3. Jewelry-Chain Nose Pliers
4. Jewelry-Split Ring pliers
5. Jewelry-Awl

If you like baubles and beads this is the class for you. An Assortment of beads intertwined on 1mm leather lacing. Very chic and fun! Learning this technique brings out your creative side without a lot of thought. Each piece always unique and beautiful!

Materials needed for this class.

1. 1 mm leather cord, 3 yards.
2. Assorted beads of your choice. Various sizes and shapes. Include a focal bead that draws immediate attention. (Perhaps a decorated bead, or the largest most vibrant bead).
3. Holes must accommodate the 1mm leather lacing. 3 to 5 kinds of beads work well, including some 6mm crystals.
4. 2.5 mm crimp beads, 20-23 count approximate.
5. One clasp, including both ends- i.e. clasp must have a ring with it to connect to the other side.
6. This may be any style-lobster or toggle.
7. Should be large enough to handle easily
8. 2 – (6mm) split rings, also known as double rings.

Mixed Media Necklass Class

This class is fun and new to Cela Creations. Learn to make all sorts of different connections through wire wrapping with the use of chains, beads, charms and more. Learning the art of making a multi-chain necklace with a professional finish. Bring your imagination here!

Wire Wrapped Fashion Ring

Learn to make and design, fun and fashionable wire rings with anything from a button to a semi-precious stone. All are custom created from 22 or 24 gauge wire. Class time is 2 hours and you can make 2 rings in this time. One of the rings will feature a focal bead of your choice and the other can be a cluster of small random beads from 5 to 7 beads. A mix of pearls, crystals and semi-precious works fabulous!
